Menurut Maggie Moon, RD, nutrisionis di Los Angeles dan pemilik Everyday Healthy Eating, lapar adalah kebutuhan fisiologis untuk kalori, air, dan garam, dipicu oleh beragam faktor seperti diet, hormon nafsu makan, maupun faktor emosional seperti stres.
Sebelum kita memutuskan untuk menyantap banyak makanan dan menyalahkan rasa lapar, cobalah untuk memastikannya terlebih dahulu.

Rasa haus dan lapar sering rancu. Menurut data dari Institute for Integrative Nutrition, 37 % orang Amerika salah mengartikan rasa haus sebagai rasa lapar.
Sementara itu, penelitian di University of Washington menemukan, satu gelas air bisa mengatasi rasa lapar yang timbul tengah malam.
Kalau Moms belum minum segelas air satu jam belakangan ini, minumlah perlahan-lahan.
